The Thc 420 Addiction

In the last few years, I’ve had many friends approach me about their Hippie”tical” belief that cannabis is the”in thing” for a resurrection of our ancient spiritual traditions. It appears the”Cannabis Renaissance” is in full swing, with potheads everywhere. This article explores why I support them, as well as offer my own perspective on the subject. Let’s have a look.

There is something quaint and appealing about hippies – they’re bright, cheerful colours, their music, their lack of inhibition. And in this day and age, we can feel this sado-masochistic vitality in our counter culture, also. It seems there’s been a resurgence of interest in art, literature, and history generally. Art museums are overflowing with modern work from cannabis artists and hemp growers and entrepreneurs. The general tenor of the times calls for a return to the”hippie” generation – back to a simpler time… when it was cool, and everything you wanted was free.

In an ideal world, such a resurgence wouldn’t be possible. But we live in a precious world, one which continues to benefit from the advancements of our young people. The obvious starting point is cannabis. And not only does cannabis have historical significance, but it’s also inherently amazing – the very reasons that attracted teenagers in the first location.

The aesthetic value of cannabis is incontrovertible. If you are going to argue that cannabis has artistic merit, then one must seriously account for the fact that humankind has been exploring the creative possibilities of cannabis since the beginning of time. The uses of cannabis go far beyond smoking joints. Should you take some time to really evaluate what it means to humanity, you’ll discover that cannabis is one of the very visually interesting elements of our species.

And even if we were to wash the slate clean and recreate the social structure of the past, there would be traces of the societal structure of our past. As an example, consider hemp – another plant with remarkable cultural meaning. As hemp is remarkably similar to the cannabis plant, there are a variety of ways hemp is used in contemporary life – from clothes to fabrics to decorations – just as there have been different kinds of technology developed from the beginning of civilization.

People throughout history have held varying views on cannabis. Often contradictory, these differing views range from being perfectly acceptable to severely sanctioned. But regardless of how society might see cannabis now, there will always be people who like the relaxing, euphoric feelings cannabis produces them. Some might consider this odd but there is no denying the fact that cannabis is one of the most widely used drugs in history. And it’s likely that the next time you pop a joint, you won’t be thinking of regrets at all.

If it comes down to it, there is no doubt that cannabis will continue to be a mainstream commodity well into the future. The question is how will that future play out? Will cannabis become accepted into our culture, or will it be forced upon us? What we know for a fact is that when cannabis becomes more widely accepted by society – and the laws against it start to relax – then we’ll see a huge increase in its usage. Lots of men and women are already finding ways to integrate cannabis into their lives, from buying it online to smoking it in pipes and doing it in bath water.

Additionally, there are growing efforts to legalize it. Even though the legislation to legalize cannabis in many countries has stalled out completely, there are numerous countries that have already approved the procedure. The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Canada and the United States are now working on different but similar legal reform plans. So, while marijuana may be against the law everywhere in the world, it’s still widely used – and is always a favorite amongst people.
